It takes about eight weeks for everyone to become comfortable with each other and the routine. It is not unusual during this transition time for your child to say he/she is bored, too tired, left out, or that the work is too hard/easy. All of these comments should be discussed with the teachers. However, our concern is not raised unless the child becomes aggressive, refuses to come to school, fails to connect with anyone at school, or cries excessively and cannot be distracted or comforted.
We make every effort to determine if your child and The Learning Workshop are a good fit before enrollment. However, it is impossible to determine compatibility until we have had ample opportunity to work with one another. Therefore, a two-week (eight school days) trial period exists. After your child has attended The Learning Workshop for two weeks, we will evaluate the compatibility. If it seems evident that your child would do better elsewhere, your child will be withdrawn and only the first month’s tuition will be due.
If your child remains enrolled after the two-week trial period is up, you are making a commitment for your child to attend The Learning Workshop for the entire school year. Should you choose to withdraw your child during the school year, 30 days written notice is required. Tuition will be due for the months that the child attended. An entire month’s tuition will be charged even if the child attended only part of the month. If thirty days notice is not given, the following month’s tuition is due.
If you withdraw before the first day, you forfeit your $100 materials fee and 50% of any tuition paid.
