Afternoon Care Giver
The Learning Workshop is looking for an afternoon caregiver to join our school family. You would be a good fit if you have the energy to keep up with young children. You will be invited to run, dance, clean, change diapers, and sit on the floor and in miniature chairs.
We enjoy spending the day with someone who is friendly, positive and shows initiative. Do you like to tell stories? And are you an even better listener? Do you look on the bright side? Can you find something nice to say about everyone? Can you enter a room and see what needs to be attended to? Do you believe children are capable and your role is to give them the support they need so they can do it themselves? We’d love for you to join us!
To be part of our team you need to be at least 18 and have had experience with groups of children. You must handle discipline calmly, directly and respectfully, guiding children through solving their own social problems. Your spelling, printing and grammar need to be strong. You must enjoy the company of young children and be genuinely interested in what they do and say. You must be able to clean toilets, sweep floors and other messy jobs. You must value doing your work thoroughly and well. You must be able to take suggestions and solve problems and misunderstandings through healthy communication.
